Chelsea Piers Connecticut recently named Greta Wagner as its new executive director. Wagner will replace Mollie Marcoux, who is leaving the company in August to serve as Princeton University’s new director of athletics.
Wagner, a senior vice president and general manager of the sports center at Chelsea Piers New York, has been with the company for 18 years. She joined in 1996 as the assistant general manager of the sports center, a 150,000-square-foot health club in Manhattan that serves more than 5,000 members.
Over the past year, Wagner helped with the development of the new athletic club at Chelsea Piers Connecticut. The $12 million Chelsea Piers Athletic Club, a 65,000-square-foot health and fitness facility, is anticipated to open this fall.
Previously, Wagner served as the general manager of Chelsea Piers New York’s golf club and oversaw management development in the human resources department for the company. She also served as a customer service trainer for Chelsea Piers”™ more than 1,200 employees.
Wagner will transition into her full-time position at Chelsea Piers Connecticut on July 7.
