Charkit Chemical Corp. of Norwalk and NK Ingredients PTE Ltd. of Singapore have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement for NK Ingredients’ products, which find personal, cosmetic and home-care uses.
The deal became effective July 1. Charles Hinnant, president of Charkit, made the announcement recently.
Throughout North America, Charkit now offers all grades of lanolin, lanolin derivatives and cholesterol from NK Ingredients for use in the personal care, cosmetic and home care industries. Jay Lang, executive vice president, Charkit, said NK Ingredients is “well known as a highly respected supplier of key ingredients for these markets.”
Lang said in a statement, “NK Ingredients maintains a state-of -the-art manufacturing facility in Jurong, Singapore. They are a company that is distinguished by their molecular distillation expertise, which is an essential part of lanolin processing.”
True to its “chemical corporation” name, Lang said Charkit, which dates to 1982, will assist companies that seek to incorporate lanolin products into formulations. “We are prepared to work side by side with our customers to bring improved products to market,” he said.
