In nine years since opening an on-site health clinic at its Danbury headquarters, Cartus Corp. has accommodated 38,000 visits from employees, including 4,000 in the past year.
Cartus provides employee relocation advisory and assistance services to corporations and is among Fairfield County’s largest employers. Along with real estate brokerage Coldwell Banker, also a major area employer, Cartus is a subsidiary of Parsippany, N.J.-based Realogy Corp.
Employees can visit the Cartus wellness center at no charge and without an appointment, with the center staffed by a full-time physician assistant and operating in cooperation with Corporate Health Care, a member of the Western Connecticut Health Network.
The company estimates the center has saved employees hundreds of thousands of dollars in co-payments alone.
