AT&T Inc. scheduled job fairs in Norwalk and New Haven, as it looks to hire 100 people in Connecticut.
The San Antonio-based carrier is filling retail and sales positions for its U-verse television service and wireless services, scheduling the recruiting sessions last week.
In the second quarter, AT&T had a $3.2 billion profit as revenue dipped slightly to $30.7 billion.
Between 2006 and 2008, AT&T invested more than $850 million in its wireless network in Connecticut, and the company is among the larger employers here with some 5,500 workers at last count and more than 40 retail stores.

Westport-based Terex Corp. is cutting 170 jobs at a plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, that assembles pavers, crushers and hot mix units needed to lay asphalt on roadways.
Terex is moving the work to plants in Oklahoma City and Durand, Mich.
Terex acquired Cedarapids Inc. in 1999; the company traces its history to 1923 when it was founded as the Iowa Manufacturing Co., and its milestones include supplying 80 percent of the crushers used by the U.S. military during World War II.
Some 50 employees will remain in Cedar Rapids, according to the Associated Press.
