With another private equity firm, Altus Capital Partners has acquired Gichner Shelter Systems, a Dallastown, Pa., company that makes shelters, enclosures and containers for military communications gear.
Westport-based Altus did not immediately disclose what it paid former Gichner parent Dominion Resources Inc. Altus managing partner Russell Greenberg is the new chairman of Gichner.
Last November, Gichner received a $42 million contract to produce mobile maintenance facilities for the U.S. Navy.
More recently, it added a commercial division that makes housings for refrigerator and shredder trucks.
