With a 1,000 percent growth rate between 2005 and 2008, Wilton-based Alteris Renewables Inc. is the highest-ranked Connecticut company on this year”™s installment of the Inc. 5000 list published by Inc. magazine.
Companies self-nominate themselves for inclusion on the list, which is limited to those with at least $200,000 in revenue in 2005 and $2 million in sales in 2008. Companies must be based in the U.S., independent and privately held.
Alteris ranked 205th on the Inc. 5000 with $35.6 million in revenue. A seller of photovoltaic systems for residential and business use, the company has some 100 employees in several states.
Ticket Software, a Vernon-based company that was No. 2 on the 2008 Inc. 5000 list, dropped to the 619th rung on this year”™s installment.
Topping this year”™s list is Northern Capital Insurance, a Miami-based firm that had a growth rate of nearly 20,000 percent.
