A consulting resource has emerged with the birth of the Wilton Advisory Board.
Brad Scheller, a 30-year business executive and longtime resident of Wilton, has formed the board together with several top CEOs and owners from the regional business community.
Scheller said the goal is to learn from each others”™ years of experience and expertise in leading and growing a business in today”™s increasingly challenging environment.
“We wanted to tap into the tremendous talent we have in this area and pool our collective business knowledge and expertise and help each other on common issues and problems we all face in running companies,” said Scheller. “Small- to medium-sized companies often lack a formal board of directors or formal advisory board to help guide and advise them, so I felt there was a real need in the business community for a resource like this.”
Founding board members include executives from Leasing Technologies International, Granite Group Advisors, BCH America, Oxley Group and Wilton Re.
“The idea is to broaden our perspectives, generate new ideas, save time and become more efficient. It”™s all about finding ways to execute better. ” said Lyle Himebaugh, Managing Partner of Granite Group Advisors.
Scheller said the group plans to expand membership to include other CEOs, owners, managing partners and top executives, but he wants to keep the overall size limited to a small, effective working group.
