Access Health CT is on pace to end its enrollment period with roughly the same number of customers it had at the end of last year”™s enrollment period, according to CEO Jim Wadleigh.
With current enrollment at about 101,000, Wadleigh said he expects another 4,000 to 9,000 to sign up before the open enrollment period ends on Dec. 22. Last year AHCT enrolled 111,524 residents during the open enrollment period, which ended at midnight on Jan. 31, 2017.
The open enrollment period for 2018 coverage, which began on Nov. 1, is the shortest since AHCT was created under the Affordable Care Act four years ago. Last year, the enrollment period ran from Nov. 1 to Jan. 31.
