Angling supplier Westport Outfitters has entered a new partnership with Cheeky Fly Fishing.
Cheeky has designed and manufactured fly fishing reels since 2009. It recently relocated its headquarters from Boston, where the company was founded, to South Norwalk.
“We are excited about the move as it allows us to better cater to customers in the metro New York City area and work closely with world-class shops like Westport Outfitters,” Scott Caras, Cheeky co-founder and CEO, Â said.
Through the arrangement, Cheeky, at 22 Elizabeth St. in South Norwalk, will partner with Westport Outfitters as a Westport Outfitters “home shop” to offer fishermen its full line of fly reels covering both fresh and saltwater angling.
The two companies will join up for a barbecue and demonstration featuring fishing pros, 5 p.m., Sept. 11 at Westport Outfitters, 609 Riverside Ave., Westport.
