TA3 is the name of a successful swimwear company that designs sculpting swimsuits. (The company name is the word “Eat” spelled backwards.) Founder Leila Shams is a fashion designer from way back, having worked at such brands as Bebe, DKNY and Express. She was frustrated that while women wear shapewear under their clothes, bathing suits ”“ which are, after all, worn outside ”“ are often flimsy and unflattering.
She decided to create her own Mega Sculpting swimwear line and, after three years and hundreds of prototypes, it has reaped more than $20 million in sales. Clearly, women are responding to this special “slim-wear swimwear.” Indeed, actress Drew Barrymore, host of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” said it was the best bathing suit she ever wore.
Try the daring, high-cut Plungey ($178) ”“ which also works as a bodysuit and comes in various colors. It features targeted shaping panels and lacing that nips, nips, nips you in at the waist. Who doesn”™t love that?
