A new study by WalletHub found that New York is No. 2 when it comes to providing the romantic climate in which singles can date. The Empire State scored high in restaurants and movie theaters per capita (No. 1 and No. 3 respectively) and ranked fourth in percentage of single adults ”“ although it finished dead last among the 50 states in dating economics, given its expensiveness. (California, which finished first overall, ranked 49th in dating economics.)
Connecticut, the Nutmeg State, finished a respectable 14th. The worst state for singles? That would be West Virginia.
