The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will present “Gilded Tables: The Art of Food & Dining in Edith Wharton”™s New York,” a lecture by Carl Raymond, from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 23 at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk.
Raymond, a social and culinary historian and host of “The Gilded Gentleman” history podcast, will delve into the details of architecture, fashion and customs that Wharton used to portray the elegant strictures and tribalism of New York society at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
