With an acting career that has spanned four decades, Jacqueline Bisset has appeared with everyone from Steve McQueen (“Bullitt”) to Anthony Quinn (“The Last Tycoon”), garnering many Golden Globe nominations and a César Award (the French Oscar) along the way.
Now The Picture House Regional Film Center in Bronxville has announced a one-afternoon-only screening of her film “Loren & Rose” at 1 p.m. June 25, followed by a Q and A with the actress.
In “Loren & Rose,” Bisset stars as Rose, a legendary actress trying to revive her career. Loren, played by newcomer Kelly Blatz, is a promising filmmaker. Over the course of their many encounters, a deep friendship evolves as their love of art, understanding of grief and faith in life’s potential guide them through personal and creative transformations.
Said Clayton Bushong, acting executive director and director of programming at The Picture House: “This is a truly singular and exciting chance to hear from an actress who has been part of some of the best films ever made and worked with some of the all-time great filmmakers. And at 78-years-old, Jacqueline Bisset is still turning in tour-de-force performances, like the extraordinary one she gives in ”˜Loren & Rose.”™ TPH is greatly looking forward to sharing this special afternoon with our film-loving audience.”
