“The Holiday Train Show” has pulled into The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) in the Bronx for its 32nd year.
The popular tradition, on view through Jan. 15, features model trains zipping through a miniature wonderland of nearly 200 New York landmark replicas, each recreated from natural materials such as leaves, seeds, twigs, bark, acorns and cinnamon sticks. The show is bigger than ever, with more trains and the addition of an all-new enchanted woodland outdoor train display, complementing the indoor show in the historic Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. For tickets, visit nybg.org.
Meanwhile at Stamford Town Center on select dates through Dec. 24, it’s “The Holiday Wish Express,” centered around the storybook “Teddy’s Christmas Adventure” as Teddy makes his way to the North Pole. At Teddy’s House of Sweets, you’ll find candies, toys and the chance to adopt a Teddy Bear forever, with a portion of the proceeds from Teddy sales going to local charities.
Tickets — $35; $25 for children – are available at www.theholidaywish.com.
