The Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) has announced The Pocantico Center”™s inaugural Community Day at”¯The David Rockefeller Creative Arts Center (DR Center) Saturday, May 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.”¯The event will include performances, hands-on art and environmental activities, gallery tours, a visual artist open studio, family yoga sessions, bilingual Spanish-English story time, complimentary food trucks and more. A performance by”¯Brooklyn Raga Massive”¯launching the annual Culpeper Summer Performance Series will follow the Community Day activities.
”¯Located at The Pocantico Center on the former Rockefeller family estate, The DR Center opened in October 2022 after a complete transformation of John D. Rockefeller”™s 1908 Orangerie. The DR Center includes a performance space, gallery and artists”™ studio that host activities year-round.
”¯This celebratory day is an invitation to enjoy the new space as it was”¯intended ”“ a place where artists and the community come together”¯to develop, present and experience new works of performing, literary and visual arts.”¯The event is free, but advance registration is required at”¯www.pocantico.org/events.
