SOUTHPORT, CT, November 18, 2024 – Historic Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport, Connecticut will present its 100th annual Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 4:30 p.m.
All are welcome to attend this special event where the children of the parish dressed in festive costumes will gather with live animals to re-enact the story of the birth of Jesus in a manger. As it has every year, this joyful production will bring together families, friends and neighbors to witness the timeless story and rejoice with classic carols.
One of Southport’s longest-standing traditions, the heartwarming pageant seeks to capture the true essence of Christmas. The church will be transformed into a candle-lit space where attendees can immerse themselves in the joy of the season.
“We can’t wait to celebrate the coming of God’s only son led by Trinity’s tiny angels, wisemen, shepherds, and real sheep,” said Rev. Matt Lindeman, Priest-in-Charge at Trinity Episcopal Church. “As we follow the traditions that have become a part of our heritage, we give thanks to all those who have made Trinity’s pageant so special this year and every year, for the past 100 years. It is a true blessing for our parish family and all who join us. Come one, come all.”
The Pageant will be followed by pizza for all attendees to celebrate the Christmas season.
