Colonial Homes of Westport and Weston: A Tour of Connecticut Historic Interiors

This year, Histoury is celebrating America’s 250th birthday throughout the entire year with a special goal: to pass or include 250 colonial homes across their 2026 tours. As part of that effort, Histoury is announcing three exclusive Connecticut experiences offering something rarely available to the public: guided interior access to privately held colonial-era homes, with many additional historic properties highlighted from the comfort of a charter bus.
Each exclusive tour is offered one day only and will not be repeated. Media are invited to cover these tours before the tour dates due to their limited capacity and one-time-only access.
This tour brings guests inside several colonial-era homes found in these two locales, with many more highlighted from the comfort of our charter bus. Architectural themes include vernacular farmhouses, Georgian and Federal homes, and the Cape Cod style, along with the stories of the people and events that shaped the region.
Interior stops include Weston farmhouses and a remarkable 18th-century home that was almost destroyed during the war and still retains original Delft Blue tiles, and more (select interior stops are private; capacity is limited).
