More than 20 years ago, Ali and Joe Torre founded Safe At Home to save lives and end the cycle of violence and abuse through education. Today, their vision is realized through the signature program, Margaret’s Place – safe spaces in schools.

Trauma is an increasingly public health issue in today’s world. The impact of trauma on youth is dramatic with escalating risks. Safe At Home’s intervention model is a public health solution.With education at its core, within schools and beyond, Safe At Home strengthens every person’s courage, knowledge, and resilience through tools, resources, and capacity building. It teaches children, families, and communities to be changemakers, to embrace the shared responsibility of care and respect.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Safe At Home’s groundbreaking Margaret’s Place initiative. Safe at Home currently has 20 Margaret’s Place sites that operate in New York and Westchester, NY; Los Angeles, CA; Cincinnati, OH; and Tahiti, French Polynesia. This school year, Margaret’s Place programs have reached 21,394 students, and since its inception, Safe At Home has served more than 181,000 youth, their families and communities.
