2026 WPWDB Annual Meeting

You are Invited to Attend the 2026 WPWDB Annual Meeting on June 23, 2026

County Executives Ken Jenkins of Westchester and Kevin Byrne of Putnam invite employers, job seekers, and community partners to participate in the WPWDB 2026 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 8:30am to noon at Westchester Community College, Gateway Center, 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla, NY.

Employers, job seekers, and training partners are at a pivotal moment to align the local workforce ecosystem with the growing opportunities in clean energy careers. Speakers Angela N. Son, CEO, The Green Launchpad, and Antuan Cannon, Vice President of Talent Development and Innovation, Willdan Energy Solutions, will open the meeting with a compelling State of the Clean Energy Sector Keynote, followed by interactive breakout sessions featuring facilitation designed to bridge the gap between job seekers, training providers, and employers.

Following the keynote, TGL will facilitate three concurrent breakout groups:

Group A: Job Seekers and Community: Navigating Green Career Pathways—Identifying transferable skills and entry points.

Group B: Employers: Building the Pipeline—Discussing hiring pain points and accessing incentives and wage subsidies.

Group C: Workforce Professionals and Partners: System Alignment—How to better connect training to industry needs.

Attendees will gain a clear, data-driven understanding of the clean energy landscape specific to Westchester and Putnam counties. Moving beyond passive listening, participants will engage in structured discussions that foster deeper insight into workforce needs and opportunities within the sector. Participants will leave with a strong understanding of how to engage with the green economy—whether they are hiring, seeking employment, or developing training programs.
