The Whiffenpoofs, the Yale-based singing group, will present a special holiday season concert this Saturday, Dec. 9, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport.
Established in 1908, the 14-member Whiffenpoofs are the nation’s oldest collegiate a capella singing group. Their repertoire includes a mixture of old Yale tunes, jazz standards, and other hits spanning different generations.
“Founded over 100 years ago – long before the days of ‘Pitch Perfect’ and ‘Glee’ – The Whiffenpoofs set the standard for a capella singing that brings joy and lifts spirits wherever they go,” said Dr. Robert Kwan, director of music at Trinity Episcopal Church. “Trinity is delighted to welcome them for this special holiday performance.”
Tickets are available online at EventBrite.com.
