One of central Connecticut”™s most festive springtime events, the Daffodil Festival at Hubbard Park in Meriden, is returning for the April 29-30 weekend, with a pre-event tag sale to be held April 22.
This year”™s festival will feature live music from Connecticut indie bands, carnival rides, the Little Miss Daffodil pageant for girls between kindergarten through grade five ”“ little boys will also compete for the “Honor Escort” role ”“ and an “Action Zone” featuring live entertainment ranging from stand-up comedy to stunt bike exhibitions.
The event organizers have issued a call for nonprofit food vendors, parade marchers and floats, crafters, business exhibitors, volunteers and sponsors. More information is available on the event”™s website.
