The Greenwich International Film Festival (GIFF) will be presenting a new special award to Oscar-winning actor Brendan Fraser at this year”™s event.
Fraser will receive the inaugural GIFF Inspiration Award in honor of his philanthropic work. The honor will be presented during the Inspiration Talk & Award Ceremony, a benefit for the nonprofit organization Abilis, on May 3 at 7:00 p.m. The Village, 4 Star Point in Stamford. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
“We are thrilled that our first-ever GIFF Inspiration Award will go to Academy Award winner Brenden Fraser, who inspired the whole world with his achingly authentic performance of Charlie in Darren Aronofsky”™s ”˜The Whale.”™” said Wendy Stapleton, chairwoman of the GIFF.
