New Haven”™s Long Wharf Theatre is welcoming Broadway icon Audra McDonald as the star of its annual benefit event.
“A Concert for Long Wharf” will be held May 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the John Lyman Center for the Performing Arts at Southern Connecticut State University. The event will include a pre-show cocktail reception, silent auction, and an after party with music and dancing.
McDonald is the winner of six Tony Awards ”“ the most performance wins than any other actor in the award”™s history ”“ and has also received two Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award and the National Medal of Arts. She was inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2017.
Tickets for the event will go on sale in mid-April. More information is available on the Long Wharf”™s website.
