While New Year’s Eve is a time for allegedly responsible adults to break out the champagne and countdown to midnight, the American Clock & Watch Museum in Bristol, Connecticut, will be giving children the chance to say goodbye to 2023 with a Lewis Carroll-inspired event.
The museum will host its Mad Hatter’s New Year’s Eve tea party on Dec. 31 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be crafts, snacks, tea, and the chiming and ringing of the bells to welcome 2024 – albeit at a child-friendly noon rather than the adult-focused midnight.
The ticket price for the event is the same for adults and children – $10.00 per person – and pre-registration and payment is required. More information is available on the museum’s website.
