United Technologies Corp. has completed the sale of its UTC Power fuel cells unit to energy systems developer ClearEdge Power, the companies announced Feb. 12.
UTC said in a statement that divesting its UTC Power unit represents another step in the transformation of its portfolio of businesses to focus on the company’s core of aerospace and building systems.
ClearEdge, based in Hillsboro, Ore., designs, builds and sells a range of power systems that utilize fuel cell technology. The sale was first announced in late December, with the companies not specifying a sales price.
