The Reckson division of SL Green Realty Corp., a marketplace leader in energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable commercial buildings, has added electric vehicle charging stations at 17 office properties in Westchester County and Fairfield County, Conn.
The state-of-the-art facilities were installed at 360 Hamilton Ave. and 140/150 Grand St. in White Plains and at 100, 200 and 500 Summit Lake Drive in Valhalla.
In Stamford, Reckson has installed the charging stations at Landmark Square and 680, 750, 1010 and 1055 Washington Blvd.
The stations can be used by Reckson”™s office tenants who own electric vehicles that run solely on electric power or plug-in hybrid electric cars that combine battery and gas-powered technology. The office landlord has chosen ChargePoint, the world”™s largest network of EV charging stations, to provide its dual electric vehicle charging equipment, allowing two cars to charge at the same time. Vehicle owners who set up ChargePoint accounts can benefit from other program amenities, including electronic billing and email notification for space availability and EV charge completion.
“Reckson/SL Green continues to provide its tenants with a best-in-class experience, offering unique portfolio amenities through cutting edge technology,” John Barnes, Reckson/SL Green senior vice president and managing director in Stamford, said in the company announcement. He said Reckson has put in place the infrastructure that will be needed as demand for charging stations continues to rise.
