In the wake of its sale to Pilot Flying J, Maxum Petroleum Corp. is shutting its Greenwich headquarters office at a cost of nearly 65 jobs.
Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot Flying J acquired Maxum in September, adding Western Petroleum L.L.C. to the business. The combined company now plans to close Maxum’s office at 20 Horseneck Ln. in Greenwich by the end of the year.
Led by CEO Perot Bissell, Maxum was founded in 2004 to acquire companies in the commercial fuel distribution industry.
