New York state”™s energy policies and future outlook will take center stage at a panel discussion being held Thursday morning, June 14, in White Plains.
The roundtable is being hosted by the Westchester County Association, New York Affordable Reliable Energy Alliance and the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater New York Inc., and will take place at the Reckson Metro Center at 360 Hamilton Ave. starting at 7:30 a.m.
Panelists will broach topics including the state”™s burdensome tax structure and how related costs are passed onto homeowners, office tenants and municipalities.
“We believe there is a clear link between cost-effective, reliable energy and economic prosperity,” said WCA President William M. Mooney in a statement.
As a result, Mooney said, the WCA”™s economic development Blueprint is in part focused on the state”™s energy infrastructure and policies.
The forum will feature Joseph Oates, vice president of energy management for Con Edison, Jerry Kremer, chairman of NY AREA and other regional energy experts.
