Proposals for a White Plains Message Center in Renaissance Square to be funded by ads were made by local business partners Keith Ahlers and Michael Calano, White Plains attorneys.
Ahlers and Calano will meet with the Common Council this spring for code amendment discussions in regard to the installation of message center technology.
The White Plains Message Center is planned as a communications medium for residents, business owners and town visitors. The center”™s provisions will be comprised of emergency notifications, local information, live feed performances and special event updates.
The proposed 2,000-square-foot message center powered by solar energy is planned for 14 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains and is said to consist of a transparent light emitting diode (LED) technology media system, Mediamesh. The center will be designed to withstand weather conditions, consisting of stainless-steel architectural mesh and embedded LED lights; there are plans to install the center flush to the building, specifically at the second-floor level of the building.
