White Plains was ranked the second-most pampered city in America by Groupon, the discount commerce website.
Groupon ranked 150 cities this month based on how much customers spent on “pampering” deals such as facials, tanning and teeth whitening. Only Green Bay, Wis., finished higher. Stamford, Conn., finished sixth.
The company also released a number of other rankings to coincide with a Beauty Week promotion in August. Seattle had the most money spent in waxing, leading to Groupon christening the city “Most Likely to Wear a Bikini in the Rain.”
The Connecticut cities of Bridgeport, Stamford and Norwalk had the most wrinkle injection and facelift deals purchased per subscriber, Groupon said. Those cities also finished in the top five cities for facials and photofacials, according to the company rankings.
