The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is coordinating two statewide surveys designed to help determine the respective needs of employers and job seekers.
This is the third year that the NYSDOL is running these surveys, which to date collected input from 12,000 job seekers and nearly 6,000 businesses. The data collected from the previous surveys was shared with schools, workforce development agencies, business associations, training providers and other work-focused entities.
“Knowledge is power, and we are going directly to the source to better understand where to direct needed resources,” said NYSDOL Commissioner Roberta Reardon. “I encourage job seekers and businesses to provide their perspective on what they are experiencing and how we can help. I thank our many partners, especially local workforce boards, for helping us get the word out about these surveys.”
The job seeker survey can be accessed at this site and the employer survey can be found here.
