Consumer prices drop

The consumer price index fell 0.3 percent in November, the first drop in six months, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Compared to October prices, gasoline fell 7.4 percent, energy dropped 4.1 percent and food prices increased 0.3 percent. Year-over year, however, consumer prices increased 1.8 percent.

The numbers, provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, includes all urban communities and are seasonally adjusted.
