The Business Council of Fairfield County on May 13 will host “Connecticut’s Budget Unbundled,” a panel of state officials who will discuss and analyze Gov. Dannel Malloy’s fiscal year 2016-17 biennial budget.
The event will be held from 7:45 to 10 a.m. at the University of Connecticut-Stamford Gen Re Auditorium and will feature four panelists who will discuss the challenges and opportunities next year’s state budget presents.
Panelists include state Senate Majority Leader Bob Duff, state Sen. Scott Frantz, state Office of Policy and Management Secretary Benjamin Barnes and Spencer Cain, president of Enfield-based Cain Associates LLC.
On its website, the Business Council describes the budget as a “road map for state spending, tax policy and key decisions on job and capital investments.”
The Business Council of Fairfield County, now in its 45th year of existence, is a nonprofit organization that helps build and promote business throughout the county.
