Woodbury Common Premium Outlets has opened a 51,000-square-foot food court called Market Hall, mall officials said this week.
The food court of the Central Valley shopping center now includes Chipotle Mexican Grill, Kung Pao Wok, Pret A Manger, Umi Teryaki, Cinnabon, South Philly Cheesesteaks & Fries, Tony + Benny”™s and McDonald”™s. Pinkberry, Melt Shop and Just Salad are expected to open later this year. Shake Shack, Le Pain Quotidien and Yo! Sushi are also expected to begin operating in the outlets before the winter holiday season.
Stephen Yalof, CEO of Premium Outlets, Woodbury Common”™s owner, and senior executive vice president of Simon Property Group, hoped the new food options would create a better overall experience for customers.
“We responded to our shoppers”™ demands for a more diverse and higher quality dining experience with healthier options,” Yalof said. “The new Market Hall was constructed to provide the 13 million people who visit Woodbury Common Premium Outlets each year with more food choices and other modern amenities.”
The new Market Hall is part of a multimillion-dollar, three-phase property renovation that will increase capacity in the food court by more than 60 percent to 900 patrons. The renovations will include complimentary Wi-Fi for visitors, cell phone charging stations, an expanded nursing area and improved family restrooms.
Chief operating officer of Simon Premium Outlets Mark Silvestri said the new dining options compliment a renovated welcome center and a new, three-level parking garage.
“The new modern dining destination will offer shoppers a comfortable place to escape the heat in the summer and cold in the winter, while they get a bite to eat and recharge themselves,” Silvestri said.
Woodbury Common Premium Outlets features 220 retailers.
