CymoGen DX, a California-based life sciences business, will move its national headquarters to Orange County”™s Business Accelerator to expand its genetic research efforts to the northeast.
Mike DiTullo, managing director of OCBA, made the announcement on March 30.
“CymoGen is eager to take advantage of our terrific location at the heart of the Hudson Valley and BosWash Corridor and the Accelerator”™s team of strategy-focused businessmen and women,” said DiTullo.

The company provides state-of-the-art “cytomolecular genetics diagnostic research” products and is a national provider of advanced tools for identifying genomic aberrations in cancer cells found in tissue and bone marrow specimens.
Its latest patent-pending endeavor is a product that detects genomic changes with enhanced accuracy in paraffin-embedded tissues common to pathology and pharmaceutical research. The company plans to have a combination of more than 50 different research products by the end of 2011.
CymoGen”™s cancer research team plans to open its national headquarters at the Accelerator by the end of April to supplement its current location in Burbank, Calif. By 2012 it hopes to employ 25 locally.?CymoGen DX Vice President Peter Hartmayer, said, “The Accelerator is a great location for us to expand our research and establish a footprint here in the northeast.
