Shake Shack, the Manhattan-based burger and milkshake chain, will open a location at Cross County Shopping Center in Yonkers this year, according to mall officials.
An opening date was not given for the fast food eatery, which will be the first of the chain’s in Westchester County. On the mall’s website, Cross County officials said the Shake Shack will face the Cross County Parkway across from the Zara location.
Shake Shack opened its first location in Madison Square Park in Manhattan in 2004 and now has 82 locations in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Shake Shack joins the 20 other eateries at the Yonkers open-air shopping mall. Cross County officials announced in October that six new retailers would open at the mall over the next year: Sunglass Hut, Michael Kors, Skechers USA Inc., Noodles & Company, Burrata Pizza and Jamba Juice.
