The nonprofit policy planning organization Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress will graduate this year”™s class of fellows on Tuesday, and the graduates will present their research findings on Fishkill, Middletown and New Rochelle.
Since October, 25 midcareer professionals have studied communities in the Hudson Valley with a focus on how localities can draw 18- to 34-year-olds to the area. The group collected data on 25 communities and narrowed that to the three locations in order to learn about the challenges in each place and provide recommendations on attracting the target demographic.
A panel of three community leaders ”“ Bob LaColla, Fishkill town supervisor; Middletown Mayor Joe DeStefano; Noam Bramson, mayor of New Rochelle ”“ will hear the fellows”™ presentations and discuss the findings.
The graduation will start at 11:30 a.m. in Newburgh. Those interested in attending can call the Pattern office at 845-565-4900 or email rdegroat@pfprogress.org to pay and reserve a spot.
