The city of Mount Vernon will showcase its opportunities for businesses looking to grow or relocate here at the third annual Mount Vernon Business Expo scheduled for June 29.
In addition, several local businesses and entrepreneurs will be honored at an expo awards dinner. They include American Christmas, the holiday decorations company that relocated from the Bronx to Mount Vernon in 2010; Commodore Construction; Con Edison; Robin Douglas, president of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Westchester and Rockland Counties Inc., and business owners Marty Rego and Robert Ruckh.
The event is hosted by the city and the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce. Consolidated Edison is a premiere financial sponsor of this year”™s exposition. Other sponsors include the Mount Vernon Public Library, Westchester Community College, DGC Capital Construction Corp., Entergy, Yvonne”™s House of Soul Restaurant and the Mount Vernon Elks Lodge.
