An index showed a marginal decrease in job postings online in Connecticut between August and September, continuing its seesaw pattern over the past four months.
The monthly Connecticut Monster Employment Index declined by less than a percentage point from its 2012 peak in August, but remains up 6.4 percent since January. The New England index has grown by nearly 11 percent over the same period, and the nation’s index by 12 percent.
“This uneven trend coincides with many other economic indicators that are showing a struggling economic recovery,” said Alissa DeJonge, director of research for the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, which produces the index in conjunction with Monster Inc.
