The Shelton-based Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce hosts its 51st annual meeting Thursday morning at Great River Golf Club in Milford. Chamber members and their guests have already sold out the event.
The keynote speaker is James P. Redeker, commissioner, state Department of Transportation.
Redeker is expected to address projects specific to Shelton and to east-of-the-Housatonic communities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Oxford and Seymour.
Redeker is also expected to address Gov. Dannell Malloy’s push for a multiyear effort to reinvigorate the state’s transportation infrastructure.
The 600-member chamber dates to 1964.
