 
Yale University and the Economic Development Corp. of New Haven are host sponsors of the Crossroads Venture Fair, scheduled for May 5-6 at the Omni New Haven Hotel.
Organized by the Fairfield-based Connecticut Venture Group, the event gives entrepreneurs a stage to showcase their companies to venture capitalists looking to invest in startups. Venture investment nationally in the first quarter was off by nearly half from the fourth quarter last year, according to the MoneyTree survey published by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the National Venture Capital Association, based on data provided by Stamford-based Thomson Reuters Corp.
