Westchester Tool Rentals, the Elmsford-based construction and equipment supply company, will hold a grand opening ceremony for its Peekskill location Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The store, located at 1075 Washington St. in Peekskill, is currently open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The grand opening ceremony will include free refreshments, t-shirts and other prizes.
Ben Puff, general manager of the Peekskill store, said he’s happy about the new location for very specific reasons.
“As third generation, I’m eager for the opportunity to carry on the tradition of my father and grandparents to service our customers from the Peekskill location,” he said. “The city has been very welcoming, and with so much growth in the entire area, Peekskill is electrified with positive energy.”
Westchester Tool Rentals opened its first store at 11 Vreeland Ave. in Elmsford in 1983. Founded by owner and president Kenny Puff as a tool and equipment rental store, the business has since included sales and supply. The business eventually grew to include Kenny’s parents, Bud and Anne Puff as well as Ben Puff, who now heads the Peekskill store.
Westchester Tool Rentals and its sister company, Party Line Tent Rentals, have more than 50 employees.
