Aquarion Water Co. has announced upcoming infrastructure work in Greenwich necessary to ensure continued system reliability.
Construction of a pressure-reducing facility project is scheduled to begin on March 13 within the town right-of-way near the intersection of Stanwich Road and Dublin Hill Road.
According to the company, the project is designed to correct low pressure in the distribution system that typically occurs during the summer high demand season. Danbury-based David Tinker Excavating Inc. is the general contractor for the project.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of March. During construction, residences and businesses should expect minor traffic delays and possible detours during normal working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
“We greatly appreciate residents”™ patience during this project,” said Mike Hiltz, Aquarion”™s manager of capital delivery, engineering and planning. “We will work closely with our customers, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions.”
