Debut Hotel Group, a new brands division launched this year by New York City-based Hampshire Hotels Management LLC, will open its second Time Hotel location in a former Nyack factory being converted into a 133-room loft-style hotel off the state Thruway near the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The hotel company on Thursday announced it had reached an agreement with the boutique hotel developer, WY Management LLC, to operate Time Hotel Nyack at 400 High Ave. The developer is expanding and converting a two-story factory last occupied by Stoffel Seals Corp. into a four-story hotel designed as industrial lofts in an approximately $19 million construction project.
Debut Hotel Group said the hotel is expected to open this fall.
Michael Yanko, a principal of WY Management, is a Nyack resident and the development company has an office in Nyack. Yanko also has developed three hotels and completed three condominium conversion projects in Manhattan. Two of his New York City hotel projects were developed with his WY Management co-owner, Kerry Wellington.
The developers initially planned to partner with Texas-based NYLO Hotels LLC as hotel manager in Nyack.
Yanko in the announcement from Debut Hotel Group said the partners are bringing “the first-ever lifestyle hotel to the Rockland area.”
Wellington said the developers are “filling a void that has been missing from the area and are honored to be partnering with such an experienced and exciting brand.”
