Amenta Emma Architects recently relocated to a bigger office in Stamford at 1 Landmark Square.
Nicole Owens, a spokeswoman for the company, said the firm leased approximately 4,975 square feet in the building owned by Reckson, a division of SL Green Realty Corp.
Charles Cannizzaro, the architectural firm’s principal in Stamford, negotiated the lease with Reckson on behalf of Amenta Emma.
With headquarters in Hartford and offices in Manhattan and Cambridge, Mass., Amenta Emma Architects opened its Stamford office at 247 Main St. in 2010 but quickly ran out of space as the firm added new clients and staff and received more design opportunities, Owens said.
Amenta Emma Stamford, which specializes in corporate interior projects, chose the city because it is a viable market for Fortune 500 companies, she said. The building suits the firm’s needs because it offers natural light and space for collaboration, Owens said.
