SOUTH NORWALK – The Washington Street Historic District Tuesday welcomed Newington-based Stay True Body Piercing and Fine Jewelry at the former site of Jean’s Closet and Salon Halo.
The SoNo store’s 2,000-square-foot space at 129 Washington St. features three dedicated piercing rooms and storefront filled with a curated selection of high-quality jewelry sourced from renowned brands such as Buddha Jewelry, BVLA, Tether, and Ember.
“Choosing South Norwalk and Washington Street for Stay True’s second location was an easy decision,” said Alexis Silva, the owner and founder of the body piercing store. “This area’s energy, culture, and sense of community align perfectly with our brand and values. We’re excited to bring our expertise and dedication to safe, high-quality piercing services to this vibrant neighborhood.”

Stay True Body Piercing and Fine Jewelry, which opened in 2014 in Newington, decided to bring its success to SoNo as the trendy boutique grew and creative self-expression found its way into pop culture and everyday lifestyle choices, according to Silva.
The entire team have many years of professional experience and are members of the Association of Professional Piercers.
Stay True is part of AGW SONO Partners’ 27-property real estate collective and the company’s OnWashington brand, a marketing support arm for its tenants and the promotion of Washington Street Historic District.
In addition to the opening of Stay True, AGW recently welcomed Himalaya Restaurant to the block and will introduce MaaMa Coffee and children’s clothing store The Piccolina Shop later this month.
