12 local businesses were named winners of the second annual Shark Tank event hosted by Norwalk for Business as part of the Norwalk Innovation Initiative. On June 6, the awardees were celebrated by Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling and each granted a monetary award ranging from $5,000 to $15,000.
Each business is also either woman owned or minority owned, allowing the recognition to also highlight their contributions to the city’s diversity.
The winners included at the $5,000 level:
- Zina King of The Next Mile LLC.
- Oscare Moreno of Tattoo Nation.
- Elias Pimentel of Dental Solutions for Kids
- Elisa Keogh of the 225 Wilson Avenue Artist Lofts.
- Delci Carvajal of En El Lente Productions LLC.
- Carlos Chavarria of Diversity Kitchen, Bath, and Tile.
- Tim Stainrod of TS6 Films.
$10,000 award winners include:
- Thomas Morsanutto of Silvermine Coffee.
- Diana Revolus of ASE Kreationz
Winning $15,000 were
- Kiki Ferguson of Full Haus Records
- Emily Martinez of Inkside Out
- Annie and Eric Higgins who own Inkwell and Crow Books.
