FuelCell Energy, based in Danbury, recently held an industry event in Southeast Asia, entitled “Accelerating Korea’s Energy Transition with Advanced Fuel Cell Solutions.”
FuelCell showed off its two distinct technologies for practical power storage, differentiated carbonite and solid oxide.
Leaders from across the Korean energy industry exchanged the latest insights with executives from FuelCell.
The Korean market is an important one for the company.
FuelCell energy has already deployed 100 megawatts of energy storage across South Korea. Gyeonggi Green Energy also announced that it would purchase 42 1.4-megawatt upgraded carbonate fuel cells to replace existing modules at the Hwaseong Baran Industrial Complex fuel cell power platform, the world’s largest single site fuel cell power platform, located in Hwaseong-si.
FuelCell Energy President and CEO Jason Few said, “We were extremely pleased with the interest and reception from our energy industry counterparts in Korea and look forward to growing our market there following 20 years of supplying carbonate fuel cells to our generation, commercial and industrial company partners in the Asia region.”
