Wells Fargo & Co. has named Larisa Perry its regional president for Connecticut, New York and New Jersey.
The Alabama-raised Perry is a 25-year banking veteran and comes to her new position via Florida, where she was central regional Florida bank president for Wells Fargo. She will report to Michelle Lee, who previously held Perry”™s post and is now the bank”™s lead community bank president for the Northeast.
Perry will head 4,700 employees, 461 retail banking stores, 747 Wells Fargo ATMs and what the bank terms “other tristate locations.”
There are 74 Wells Fargo stores and 100 ATMs throughout Connecticut, with 35 branches and 46 ATM locations in Fairfield County. Wells Fargo”™s Westchester County presence includes 35 branches, plus 54 ATM locations.
“This job is rewarding because we are in the business of helping individuals and families manage their money today and plan for their futures, whether it”™s purchasing a car or home, saving for college or planning for retirement,” Perry said in a statement. “We also provide solutions to business owners so they are positioned to grow their companies and create new jobs. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the Northeast team so we can continue helping New York, New Jersey and Connecticut residents at a time of increased optimism and when the economy is rebounding.”
Perry is expected to work from northern New Jersey, the bank reported. Wells Fargo, citing a career of community involvement, said she will be joining the board of directors of Junior Achievement of New Jersey.
“A top focus of Larisa”™s is helping our customers succeed financially and ensuring that they have an outstanding experience in every interaction with us,” Lee said. “I am thrilled that she will bring her invaluable banking experience as well as her passion for community involvement with her to the Northeast.” Regional President Joe Kirk will report to Perry for the New York and Connecticut markets.
