The Westchester County Association”™s Young Professional Advisory Committee (YPAC) continued its Home Buyers Series with a workshop on financial planning and investing held Feb. 18 at Hudson Valley Bank”™s headquarters in Yonkers.
Financial planning experts covered topics such as short- and long-term investment strategies, saving for a down payment and tax planning. It was the last of the WCA”™s three YPAC seminars on related topics. Â
Speakers included Gerry O”™Donoghue of O”™Donoghue Financial Planning L.L.C. in Mount Kisco and Rodd Berro, president of Pegasus Asset Management Inc. in Montebello.
“Given how complex the mortgage market has become because of the economy, this series will not only be of interest to young professionals but to many others looking for guidance,” said WCA President William M. Mooney Jr.
The Home Buyers Workshop Series began last spring with “Mortgages in a New Economic Climate, Can Young Professionals Afford to Live in Westchester?” followed in the fall with “The ABCs of Real Estate Agencies.”
